Salsatomic.co.uk is the coming together of two enthusiastic salsera's - Su and Angie. Both having danced salsa In Surrey, Hampshire and ..er.. the whole of the South for many years we decided to run our own latin dance evenings of great value, fun and fantastic salsa dancing for all... So here we are! Please read on to hear about our salsatomic philosophy and meet our team of expert salsa teachers (SEE BELOW). We look forward to seeing you for a salsa dance soon!

PLEASE VISIT OUR EVENTS PAGE FOR DETAILS OF SPECIALIST COURSES AND RECOMMENDED SALSA EVENTS.

The Salsatomic Philosophy
Our goal is to provide quality salsa dance teaching in a relaxed friendly atmosphere that encourages beginner salsa dancers to socialise, make friends and ask people to dance. Attending a salsa class is only the first part of the evening. We want you to take what you've learnt onto the dance floor. By the end of your classes, we want you to feel confident and comfortable enough to social salsa dance with the other people from your class. A large proportion of the evening after the classes have finished is dedicated to social dancing with a focus on great salsa and other latin music that will be enjoyed by all (our DJ will also take requests!) We'll encourage you to get up and dance - it really is the best way to improve your salsa dancing and the most enjoyable part of a salsa dance night! So please always ask us for a dance.

Susan Yeates (Beginners and Improvers/Intermediate)

Picture
Susan began salsa dancing in 2006 and has been dancing regularly in salsa clubs across Wiltshire, Surrey and Hampshire ever since. More recently Susan joined Salsa Diversion Dance Company and Vixenz and has taught salsa for Just Dance Salsa in Southampton, Keen Dance in Salisbury as well as running Salsafleet in Fleet since 2009 with Jim Costello. Susan is one half of the Salsatomic team along with Angie and will be teaching the beginners classes and intermediate classes.

Susan believes that.. "the benefits of salsa classes are endless… including developing a skill, improved memory, increased co-ordination, balance and posture, not to mention the social side – getting out and about, meeting people out of your usual social sphere and making some truly good friends. Salsa (when danced well) is also an incredibly beautiful, sexy and captivating latin dance to watch. There is something very enjoyable about just sitting back (slightly breathless after a good old dance yourself) and watching a couple interact on the dance floor, enjoying the music and the moment and dancing salsa with style! And we haven’t even started on the shoes…" Susan has endless enthusiasm for dancing salsa and passing her skills to those new to it. She will see you on the dance floor soon!
